Star and Rod Saunders have helped us from the beginning after we purchased of Kiawah Cottage. As Property Manager, Star has been extremely helpful from the start. She is attentive, efficient, and helpful. She is quick to return messages. She seems to have an endless list of contacts for repairs or work needed. She is extremely detailed in the care and cleaning and follows up after her team. She has a great eye for design. Honestly, she takes better care of the home than we do. She cares for our home like it was her own. Rod has been great with small construction projects in our home. He is a good communicator, defining work requirements, materials, and time. All our expectations were met with projects Rod completed.Star and Rod are always pleasant and easy to work with. We cannot say enough good things about them. They have made our transition to the island easy.
My husband and I purchased an oceanfront condo in 2021 after vacationing at Kiawah Island, with our family of five, for the last twenty years. It is definitely our happy place. Our permanent home is a 2 1/2 hour drive to Kiawah Island. While Kiawah is close enough for us to go often, but too far away to handle daily maintenance or problems that may arise. Star Saunders, the owner of Sea Island Property Services , has managed and maintained our condo in one way or another since we bought it. I can not say enough good things about Star as an individual or as a property manager.

Star has a gift for managing people. Her approach is firm but kind….. never putting others in a defensive mode . She works well with contractors, maintenance people and the Regime ( if you own a condo). She goes beyond what is expected of her. She will clean or do tasks herself just to make things perfect for the homeowner. She cares for your property as if it were her own. I NEVER have to worry about our property 2 hours away, because I know she will do that for me.
